Our Faith

We are part of a body of believers, the church, born through faith in Jesus Christ, a Jew who lived in first century Palestine, who was crucified, and who was resurrected from the dead. We perceive God through Christ and also as the Creator of all that is, and as the living Comforter and Guide known as the Holy Spirit.

Our "first language of faith" is the language of scripture, the Bible, and we known who God is and the way of what is redemptive for humankind through this book.

Baptism is the entrance rite through which to begin the living relationship with the God of the Bible, the God in whom we have faith. Our relationship is sustained sacramentally, particularly through the sacrament of communion. God's care for us brings thankfulness in our hearts that calls, sustains and equips us for lives of devotion and sacrificial service to others. We hope for our own transformation in all godliness and for a new creation, one day fulfilled in the promises of God.
