Missions

At FBC Wetumpka, we believe that God has called us to go and make disciples of all nations. In 2007, teams from our church spread the gospel through a number of means. You can find links to some of those outreach ministries below. In addition to the ministries listed here, we had two short term missions teams from our church take part in the process of making disciples of all nations. In May, a team from our church visited Lima, Peru where we worked with Richard and Holly Jones to spread the Gospel through English as a Second Language workshops, Bible distribution, and other evangelistic work at a local school. In July, a team of students and adults went to Chicago, Illinois on another mission trip, which focused on servant evangelism through light construction and yard work at a Senior Citizen's home in Chicago. We want to be a part of what God is doing around the world, and with that in mind, we will be sending more teams out in 2008. We will be sending a team of students and adults to South Lyon, Michigan, where we will work with First Baptist Church, South Lyon as they prepare for Vacation Bible School the week following our visit. Our team will travel July 5th-12th, and we hope that you will take the time now to begin praying for our group and for the folks we will serve alongside.
