Family Of God Worship Center
Mission:
The Family of God Worship Center's purpose is to Share Jesus with as many people as possible and to reach out beyond our four walls and be a light and a fortress of love to those who need to know the unconditional love of the Father. Also to provide a place for all people to minister in the gift or gifts that God has given them and to see everyone living a full spiritual life in unity and love.
Vision:
The vision for Family of God Worship Center Inc., was birthed here in Central Pennsylvania in 1998. As God opens the doors for us to move into other states and even other countries, we will move with the Lord and see the vision which He gave to Pastor Jim fulfilled.
Family of God Worship Center Inc., is the first church to have the vision of 24/7 worship. A room shall be set apart so that people can come and worship God around the clock. Just as David ordered that there would be continuous worship, so Pastor Jim desires to have such a room in this day and hour that we now live. 1 Chron. 16:6 We serve a mighty God Who is worthy of all praise and this vision will come to pass.
History:
Family of God Worship Center started out as a Bible study in April of 1998. Pastor James had the call of God on his life and with much prayer, he started a home Bible study. At the same time, he entered into a 2-year General Bible course with Liberty University.
Pastor Jim, with the Lord's help, overcame his vision loss and worked on mobility skills and Braille courses. Through all this and then Anna Traver gave him unlimited support and love and Pastor Jim very successfully regained his life back. On June 3, 2000, Pastor Jim was blessed to take Anna as his loving wife.
Family of God Worship Center, Inc., was incorporated in December of 2003. In January of 2004, the Bible study was moved into the Wyndham Garden Hotel, 765 Eisenhower Boulevard, Harrisburg, PA, 17111. Since that time, we have witnessed the mighty Hand of God move on this ministry.
