Annually, in late June, Fairfield Firefighters sponsor a Half Marathon and 5K road race. and Children's Fun Run. The Half Marathon is the largest in New England with over 4500 runners participating. This year the 5K will be held on Saturday, June 21 and the Half Marathon on Sunday, June 22, 2014.

Everyone who runs, volunteers, supports, or sponsors the Fairfield Road Races shares in the victory. Last year race participants and sponsors helped give nearly $100,000 to area charities.  Our primary charity is Team Hole in the Wall and the Association of Hole in the Wall Camps and various Veteran's Charities.

The Fairfield Firefighters have been the dedicated hosts since the inception. The operating entity for the Fairfield Road Races is The Fairfield Half Marathon, Inc., a federal not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
