Evergreen Christian Church

27772 Iris Drive
303-674-3413

This congregation was organized in the early 1920's as a community Christian church. In 1920 it moved into the old white framed school house on Highway 73 near Little Cub Creek (now located near the Evergreen Fire Station). We occupied this building until 1962 when we moved into a new church building, built by members, in our current location on Iris Drive.

Pastor Hunter came to the congregation in 1985 and will we will be celebrating 20 years of pastoral leadership, teaching and spiritual growth this fall.

In the mid 1990's the congregation realized that it had outgrown its building and needed more space for worship, Christian education, and fellowship activities. As the congregation grew, they made plans to turn the original building into classrooms, offices, and a fellowship hall.

The congregation took on building a new sanctuary that reflected the theology, mission, and sense of community of the church and the building was dedicated in 2000.

Eight guiding principles of achieving our full Kingdom potential include: having empowering leadership, engaging in spiritual gift-based ministries, encouraging passionate spirituality, providing inspiring worship services, sharing loving relationships, promoting small groups of members helping each other and our community, being well organized and efficient, and carrying out the Great Commission and the Great Commandment.
