About Us

The food bank is a private (non-governmental), non-profit organization administered by the volunteer staff and controlled by an elected board of directors.  All of our money comes from donations and grants.  There is no government money involved. We get donations from local churches, businesses, corporations, foundations and individuals.

In 2007 we distributed over 154,000 pounds (about 75 tons) of food to an average of 183 families each month (about 2.5 people, on average, in each family), at a total cost of 27 cents per pound.  Each family received about 70 pounds of food per visit.

The Estacada Area Food Bank is a 501(c)(3) organization and as such all contributions are tax deductible.

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank each and every contributor of food, money and time whose efforts led to the success of the Estacada Area Food Bank.
