The staff and parents of Elwood Community Middle School are dedicated to providing all students with an opportunity to develop academic and social skills which will help them become responsible and contributing members to society.

Vision Statement:

We believe that all students deserve the opportunity to maximize individual learning potential within a safe environment that includes all staff being dedicated to facilitating success as well as promoting emotional and social well being.

The adults in the community are involved in a mutual partnership that promotes innovative teaching techniques, working cooperatively, sharing educational responsibilities, serving as positive role models, instilling a sense of pride, and providing a positive and safe environment conducive to learning.

All students are highly motivated to achieve their full academic potentials, exhibit high self-esteem, have respect for themselves, community and school; be tolerant of individual differences; have a thirst for knowledge, take pride in their achievements, be aware of career and technological skills needed for the future and prepare to be productive citizens of the community.
