Edmonton Worship Center

107 Baker Street
270-432-7283

Church History:
On September 21, 1988, six men led by the Holy Spirit prayed and discussed the building of a new church.

One week later they made a commitment to the Lord and each other and the Edmonton Worship Center became a reality.

The first service was held on October 2, 1988 at the Metcalfe County Fairgrounds concession stand. One month later, services were moved to Gene's Skating Rink. Land was purchased on Baker Street and donated to the church. Plans were drawn up for the new building and ground was broken in the spring of 1989.

The church building was completed and the first service was held on the first Sunday of November 1989. The dedication was held on December 3, 1989. Founder's Day is now observed annually by the congregation each year in September.

In March of 1998 a new multi-purpose building, complete with a gymnasium, was added to the facilities.

Many activities are held weekly which provide an opportunity for the church member to fellowship together.

The church has also sponsored and built churches in Mobassa, Kenya and Puima, Brazil.

The Edmonton Worship Center is a church that has been greatly blessed by the Lord with many gifts and talents.

We shall continue to use these gifts and talents for the glory of God as he opens doors and continues to lead us!
