About Us:

Ebert's Greenhouse Village has grown to what it is today through hard work and the dedication of many fine people. The Lord has blessed us with a beautiful setting...a peaceful valley surrounded by scenic rolling hills and farmland.

In 1976, Ebert's started out as nothing more than an idea to start a small vegetable farm. Milton (Ebert) prepared a few acres of farmland for growing vegetables and purchased a small Allis Chalmers tractor to work the land. He gathered his harvest of cabbage and sold it at the Watertown and Jefferson fair markets. At this time, Milton's son Ron joined the venture and from that time forward, has played a significant role in the growing of our superior plants.

The vegetable business, known as Ebert's Farm Produce and Greenhouses, continued to flourish. By 1990, Ebert's specialized in growing potatoes, onions, sweet corn and a few flowers including marigolds and geraniums. Around that time another son Mark, a graduate in marketing from MATC, was looking for a business opportunity. He didn't need to look far from his roots. Milton was ready to retire and sell his interest in the greenhouse enterprise.

Mark and Ron extended the bonds of family to their partnership in business. In the spring of 1990, the introduction of Ebert's Greenhouse Village began with Ron as our "Green Thumb" responsible for our magnificent plants and Mark as our "Visionary" for the future, embracing contemporary sales and marketing strategies.

Moving forward we have been blessed with an abundance of accomplished and talented individuals. Through their contributions, the vision of Mark and Ron to be at the pinnacle of our industry is facilitated and realized.

Throughout the 1990's, Ebert's Greenhouse Village continued to grow. We added numerous greenhouses and a cozy Gift Shoppe with a rustic feel. We also built the Westbrook greenhouse complex which houses 30,000 square feet of exuberant hanging baskets, planters and an extensive selection of annuals! In 2012, Ebert's was voted by M Magazine as Readers' Choice "Best Green Thumb Paradise."

An additional 28 greenhouses planted with a variety of annuals, perennials, herbs and hanging baskets that challenge the imagination await you! Rain or shine, Ebert's Greenhouse Village is accessible to our friends of all ages, providing paved walkways and carts to carry all of your unique finds.

We at Ebert's look forward to meeting you and offering our expert care as well as an experience that exceeds expectations!

We thank God for the blessings he has given to all of us, and as we walk through the flowers and gardens, let us always remember the beauty he has created for us to share!
