Hi, My name is Dan Mitchell, I am a Master Class Professional competition shooter with over thirty five years of firearms experience. I spent twelve years in the army and had extensive firearms and self defense training, before that I had ten years of martial arts training from people like J.T. Wills and Dan Inosanto. I am also a certified NRA Pistol Instructor. I shoot USPSA, IDPA, Steel Challenge, 3 Gun and many more shooting disciplines across the country. I am a hairdresser by trade and while talking to people in our area, especially women, I realized that Dothan was in need of a safe place for recreational shooting and firearms training. That is when I decided to create a four phase plan to develop Dothan Gun Club, a place where families can come to enjoy shooting and professional firearms training.

Phase one will include eight large pistol bays with cover, a 400 yard rifle range with a raised covered shooting area with berms at 50, 100, 200, 300 and 400 yards and a natural terrain range for 3gun matches.

Phase two will be the addition of eight to ten more pistol bays, to accommodate major USPSA, IDPA and 3 Gun competitions.

Phase three will include the building of a large clubhouse, with bathrooms, kitchen, lounging area and classroom.

Phase four will be the addition of a skeet shooting Range.We will hold monthly United States Practical Shooting Association, International Defensive Pistol Association, Steel Challenge and 3 Gun matches.

We offer basic and advanced pistol, shotgun and rifle training for all skill levels, along with concealed carry, home defense and beginning and advanced competition.
