The Save Daisy Mountain Committee (SDMC) of the Desert Foothills Land Trust (DFLT) is focused on preserving the natural beauty, unique qualities and resources of DaisyMountain for current and future generations.  The DFLT board of directors has incorporated the SDMC as a standing DFLT committee with the following mission, vision and objectives: 

The Mission - To permanently preserve Daisy Mountain and the surrounding area's unique natural resources, open spaces, wildlife habitat and historic/geologic features, and provide connectivity with surrounding trail systems and essential habitat corridors for the enjoyment of current and future generations.

The Vision - To partner with local, state and national conservation organizations along with local, county, state and federal entities to  preserve Daisy Mountain as a premier natural area and recreation destination in the North Valley region.

The Objectives:

·        To conserve DaisyMountainStateTrustLands and adjacent conservation lands.

·        To develop an accessible trail system on and around DaisyMountain that connects to city, county and federal trails so that non-motorized trail users can appreciate and enjoy this jewel of the NorthValley region.

·        To build greater awareness and appreciation for DaisyMountain so that the city, county and state will conserve it for all generations to come.

·        To provide education programs to local communities that foster greater appreciation and understanding of the natural resources that are found in the DaisyMountain area.
