Deptford Township School District consists of six early childhood/elementary schools, a middle school, a high school, and a special needs school to meet the needs of over 4,400 students. It is the third largest educational system in Gloucester County, and is thoroughly modern in its use of technology to enhance the educational process.

The curriculum provides a solid program of general education with learning opportunities ranging from special services for special needs children to gifted and talented courses for enrichment. A demanding core curriculum is supplemented with art, music, and physical education, and rich elective program encourages student choices. This comprehensive educational program results in Deptford Township students scoring above the state and national norms on standardized tests.

Our greatest challenges lie in closing the achievement gap for our special education and minority students, providing for the projected growth in student enrollment, and working to increase parent support.
