Craft Club of Sebastian, Inc. a 501(c)(3) non-profit club


Craft Club of Sebastian, Inc., a 501(c)(3), non-profit group, encourages and promotes the making of hand-crafted original works and its continuation of arts and crafts as a hobby.  Formed in 1985 the club serves Brevard, Indian River, Martin and St Lucie counties via monthly meetings, social events and monthly shows at Riverview Park in Sebastian, Florida from October through May. 

 

Monthly club business meetings are held at the North Indian River County Public Library, 1001 Sebastian Blvd, at CR 512, in Sebastian, Florida.  Club meetings are from 2pm to 3pm on the third Tuesday of each month from September through April. 

 

Our juried arts and crafts shows, which are open to outside artisans/crafters/vendors, are held the first Saturdays of the month from October through May at Riverview Park, 650 Indian River Drive at US 1 in Sebastian, Florida 32958.

 

The Club supports local charities through yearly donations.  In our 2012/2013 season, we donated $500 to each local charity listed (a total of $2,500) 1) Back-Pack Buddies Treasure Coast Elementary School: During school sessions, back packs filled with food are sent home on Fridays for children in need to ensure they have meals over the week-ends.  2)  H.A.L.O. Animal Rescue in Sebastian:  Emergency medical funding for this no-kill animal shelter.  3)  Indian River North County Library:  Purchased 32 new books.  4)  Senior Resource Center: Emergency meals on wheels to seniors returning home from hospital or rehab facilities to assist them as they transition to independent living.  5)  Visiting Nurses Association:  Hospice care.

The Club's mission is to encourage and promote the making of hand-crafted items and its continuation of crafts as a hobby.  Formed in 1985 the Club serves Brevard, Indian River, Martin, St Lucie and surrounding counties via monthly meetings, social events and monthly shows at Riverview Park in Sebastian, Florida from October through May.  The Club supports local charities through yearly donations.  The public is always welcome free of charge.

PURPOSE OF THE CLUB

  1. To promote traditional handcrafted skills.

  2. To provide a venue for exhibiting and the sale of handcrafted items.

  3. To encourage a social atmosphere for crafters and the community.

  4. To support local charities via membership funding.
