Mission and Vision Statement

Covenant Christian Community
An interdenominational fellowship of people committed to minister in these crucial and demanding times.Ministry takes place through people who are being stretched in faith and are seeing God's gifts and graces happening. The urgency of this hour requires sensitivity to the fact that it will take many, literally a multitude, to fulfill this call to see His Kingdom rule extended in the hearts and lives of the people of the Mid-Columbia region.

Mission Statement
The Mission of Covenant Christian Community Church is to bring people in the Mid-Columbia area to Jesus Christ, develop them to Christ-like maturity, and equip them for their ministry in the church and outreach to the world.

Vision Statement
Our dream is that by 2015 we will be a growing, regional church that produces believers and ministries that touch our community and our world. Our dream includes the following:

A growing regional church.  We envision people from the three-county area: Wasco, Sherman and Klickitat.

God’s presence. We envision a congregation who is in love with Jesus, and who passionately worships Him in lifestyle and song. Our weekend services will be led by skilled musicians and singers who lead the people in passionate worship that touches the heart of the Father and attracts His glory and presence.

Hope and healing. We envision providing a place where hurting and hopeless people of any age, race or background can find healing, hope, love, acceptance, forgiveness, guidance and encouragement.

Small groups. We envision a wide variety of thriving small groups (care groups, support groups, prayer groups, etc.) where people can connect, find support and encouragement, and grow in authentic relationships with each other.

Service to the community. We envision demonstrating the love of Jesus to the people of our community (through small groups, individually or as a church), by serving them and meeting their needs.

Maturity. We envision our members growing to maturity through men’s and women’s bible studies, small groups, marriage mentoring, parent training, weekend worship services, and a Bible college.

Service to one another. We envision each person equipped to be involved in a significant ministry, and committed to building the body of Christ by using his/her spiritual gifts and passions.

Missions. We envision doubling our missions giving, and sending hundreds of people to all parts of the world on short-term mission trips.

Facilities. We envision a regional campus with beautiful, yet simple facilities including an 800-1,000-seat worship center, a youth center, a prayer center, classrooms for Bible studies and other groups, facilities for our christian school, a book store, and fellowship and recreation areas, set in a peaceful, inspiring landscape.

Prayer. We envision hundreds of people trained and functioning in the ministry of healing prayer and intercessory prayer.

Church planting. We envision planting three new churches of 70-plus people, along with leadership and financial commitment.

Evangelism. We envision our people regularly sharing Jesus with others, and feeling comfortable to bring their unchurched friends to church with them to experience the presence of God in worship.
