A passion for sailing . . .

. . . and a perfect place to sail! That's what you'll find here in the Columbia River Gorge, a National Scenic Area blessed with breathtaking vistas, fresh water, friendly people, and - most importantly - plenty of breeze!

You'll also find us, the Columbia Gorge Racing Association, a volunteer group of local sailors who are passionate about our sport and eager to introduce the one-design sailing world to this extraordinary venue.

In addition, we host a range of performance sailing clinics coached by champion sailors from around the world.

Community Sailing

An important part of CGRA's mission is to provide the Gorge community with public access to sailing opportunities. Through our community sailing program in Cascade Locks, CGRA offers learn-to-sail programs for children ages 8-17 and recreational sailing opportunities for all (more)

Support CGRA

As participation grows for sailing in the Columbia River Gorge, the CGRA is expanding its efforts to support the overwhelming interest.  Thanks to individual and corporate generosity, we hope to add equipment, staff, volunteers, and other resources. The Gorge Sailing Center

CGRA is actively pursuing the establishment of a permanent sailing facility in  Cascade Locks. In cooperation with the Port of cascade Locks and other state and local officials we are seeking to build a facility adequate to handle the requirements of larger regattas and the growing number of sailors in the area.
