Mission and Vision

Our expectation is that every student at Clear Spring Middle School will:

* be a productive citizen by applying the six pillars of Character Counts (trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship);
* develop organizational skills necessary for life and work;
* prepare for the Maryland School Assessments and Maryland High School Assessments;
* succeed and learn to the best of their abilities.

The successful Clear Spring Middle School student will follow directions effectively and will work well with others. He/She will exercise responsibility in and out of school and will apply knowledge to new settings and experiences.

Clear Spring Middle School recognizes the importance of effective community involvement and good communication with parents in order to prepare students to become productive citizens.

To provide a variety of experiences which meet the individual learning needs of all students, it is essential for us to create and maintain a safe, orderly, and well-disciplined environment.

Our instructional program is intended to be flexible enough to meet the diverse needs of students while promoting the connectivity between subjects across teams and grade levels, as students prepare for high school and beyond. Students will be provided access to a variety of activities and resources including technology. Teachers will be provided with in-service activities required to meet these goals.

Our school staff is committed to a unified approach in working toward success for all students.
