Vision :

An early part of the comprehensive planning process involves visioning. Visioning is simply the process by which a community envisions the future it wants and plans how to achieve it. This process brought residents of Philippi together to develop a shared image of what they want their community to become. Through group processes, the residents identified their community values, the strengths, weakness, and future trends of their community, and wrote their own vision statements for their community. The result of this highly participatory and interactive process is the basis for the comprehensive plan.
