Vision

"We create community through people, parks and programs"
Imagine a community where the parks and recreation facilities are always safe, clean and green.
Imagine a community with a wide range of services, programs and facilities that bring families together and strengthen family and community bonds.
Imagine a community that provides opportunities for citizens to learn, grow and engage in the arts, sports, recreation, education, life long learning, and cultural activities that build a sense of community.
Imagine a city that provides services, programs and facilities that are readily available to all citizens through a single, competent and helpful point of contact with their local government.
Imagine a parks and recreation department that is a model of community oriented government providing guidance, services, and support to residents through open communication, access, and collaboration with the community in a way that builds trust and respect between government and the community.
Imagine a parks and recreation department that knows change is inevitable, that it can and must change and believes in and acts upon the attitude that things are never as good as they will be.
