Our township is "on the move" in the form of clean-up and economic development. Goree has seen bad times and we are ready to move on. We have three strikes against us, but are not out. We are moving on, and yet, we are not putting the past behind us…we are putting the past in front of us. Goree’s glory days of old are exactly what we want to encapsulate. The Goree we envision has a western flare and recaptures some of the blasts from the past. Come call Goree, Texas home if only for a little visit or maybe a lifetime.
