Originally known as Buckner Hill, the “Little Village in the Valley” sits directly on the Santa Fe Trail, and continues our role as both a solid starting point and a welcome destination.

Travelers these days may be stopping by for an excellent meal in one of our fine restaurants, for a ball game, to see the Chicago Lights Christmas display, to visit one of our ever-increasing retail and service establishments, to attend a Fort Osage School District event, or simply for a respite in rural splendor before tackling the 10-minute commute to Independence or the half-hour drive to all that KC has to offer.
