Battle Lake is a bustling little community wrapped snugly around the western edge of West Battle Lake in central Minnesota's "lakes country". The "Little City with a Big Heart" has a population of 797, however with rapidly increasing development adjacent to the City and on nearby lakes, it seems to be much larger. City boundaries blur as you observe the extent of retail commercial expansion along the State Hwy 210 & 78 corridors that intersect at the southern perimeter of the City.
