CIEE is a non-profit organization that has been in operation for more than 62 years and specializes in international work and education. Our mission is "to help people gain understanding, acquire knowledge and develop skills for living in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse world." We are seeking Local Coordinators and host families for our high school aged foreign exchange students who are hoping to come to America for one semester or school year to practice their English and experience the culture. In return, Local Coordinators and host families can learn about another culture, enjoy lifelong friendships with students and new friends in the community, have fun, fulfill a dream of a young person, be an ambassador for America, and more. Local Coordinators: · Help get the word out in the community about our program · Recruit host families for the students · Supervise (monthly check in) students during their stay · Coordinate between student, host family, school, and CIEE · Earn extra cash $550 per student per school year and domestic/international travel (next trips Savannah, GA and Costa Rica) Host Families: Accept a student into their home as a "host son or daughter" for one or two semesters Provide a bed and room Share meals Claim a flat $50 per mo tax deduction for hosting Receive local and regional support 24/7 for any needs Students: Aged 15 to 18 Well screened Speak English Have own money to buy what they need Have full coverage health insurance If you are interested in being considered as a host family or Local Coordinator in your area , please email or call me. you may also fill out an application at http://usahs.ciee.org/highschool/ Thank you!
