To provide free of charge, the highest quality multi-sensory reading and written language tutorial services for children with dyslexia, through a network of nationally recognized centers of excellence.

To promote and encourage education of professionals, tutorial trainees, and the public to become resources in teaching children to read.

To advance scientific knowledge of dyslexia through support for clinical research, to improve today's standards and tomorrow's care.


THE ORGANIZATION: The Children's Dyslexia Center- Central New York is an operating location of the Children's Dyslexia Centers, Inc. 33 Marrett Road Lexington, Massachusetts, 02421. The corporation is a 501(c)3 tax exempt charitable organization. The Central New York Center is located on the Eastern Star Campus in Oriskany New York. It was formed by the Scottish Rite Masonic bodies of Syracuse and Utica, New York and became operational in February of 2005. It is the second center operationing in New York State, the first being in Rochester.
SERVICE: The Central New York Center was established to provide the tutoring services offered by Learning Centers, Inc. to those children in central New York who require them. Our area of responsibility includes but is not limited to the counties of Oneida, Herkimer, Onondaga, Lewis, and Madison. 
   The entire Learning Center system is presently servicing 1500 students.
