About Us:

Chestnut Hill Farm is a full service hunter/jumper/equitation riding facility located in the beautiful rolling hills of Sleepy Hollow, IL just north of Elgin and conveniently located just off Interstate 90, owned and operated by Lauren Lechtanski.

Lauren grew up in Barrington, IL and began her career early in life, with a stable full of Breyer model horses and riding lessons at age 6, and has many years of experience caring for and training horses. She continued her career of riding and showing in hunter, jumper and equitation at University of Findlay in Findlay, OH where she majored in equine business management with emphasis on English riding. Lauren has worked with such well known professionals as Kelli Farmer, Larry Glefke and Kim Burrnett.

Lauren leverages all of her experience to provide clients and horses with excellent care. She enjoys sharing her knowledge with her students so that they can develop their talents and horsmanship skills.

Lauren takes pride in correctly teaching traditional concepts to students so they are as successful in both the ring at home and in the show ring, and they can handle any problem that may arise. The safety and well being of each horse is checked over every day to make sure every horse is happy and healthy. CHF riding programs are designed to fulfill the needs of each student, with safety being a key factor.

Lauren concentrates on equitation, with basics centered in dressage. Lessons are individualized to each student to optimize their experience. Chestnut Hill Farm is a small, close family where everyone is always willing to help each other out and cheer each other on!
