Chesterfield Women's League

Village House at Charter Colony 800 Abbey Village Circle
804-405-7809

The Chesterfield Women's League has combined a tradition of friendship and hospitality with community support since 1974. We are currently celebrating our 40th year. New members are always welcome.

The League offers a wide variety of Interest Groups which provide many opportunities to get together with fellow residents in this area.  We also promote Community Involvement through the gift of our time and energy to support local charities.

The Chesterfield Women's League meets on the third Wednesday of each month, September through May at the Abbey Village Clubhouse in Charter Colony.  Refreshments are provided at each meeting. A newsletter and a calendar of upcoming activities are provided to each member monthly.

Invited speakers at monthly meetings discuss subjects of interest to our members. These topics can range from financial planning information to fashion tips, health and wellness issues and the arts.

Besides promoting friendship among our members, the Chesterfield Women's League is also a non-profit service club which supports local charities.

Each fall, our members select charities to receive contributions collected at fund raising events.  These activities can include auctions, book sales, fashion shows and other events.  In the past 25 years we have donated over $60,000 to our annual charities.

The organization also supports local charities with product donations at our monthly meetings.  Among the items collected: clothing and accessories for the Dress for Sucess program, canned goods for the Virginia Food Bank, art supplies for the Children's Museum of Richmond  to name just a few of the many organizations we have supported over the years.
