Centralia Timberland Branch Library

110 South Silver Street
360-736-0183

The Centralia Timberland Library is in the same location as the original Carnegie library which was built in 1913. It was remodeled in 1977-78 with an Economic Development Grant to accommodate a larger collection and more services than the previous 6,200 square foot building.

Features of the building include the chandelier from the old Centralia High School hanging above the main stairway, four fireplaces, an elevator and unique folk art from a craftsman who was a patron of the library. An antiques and collectibles environment supports the major economic thrust of downtown Centralia.

An Education Job Information Center (EJIC) is located in the Centralia library. The Centralia library has public use computer labs in the reference and youth services areas. Centralia has annexed to Timberland for its library services.
