Established in 1971, Central Illinois Community Blood Center (CICBC), a not-for-profit organization, is the provider of blood for 19 hospitals throughout central and southwestern Illinois. As a not-for-profit organization, CICBC is governed by a board of directors representing the communities in which it serves. Central Illinois Community Blood Center collects more than 40,000 units of blood annually to meet the needs of patients in area hospitals.
