About

Bywater Farm is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting horsemanship and natural horse training methods along with good values and sportsmanship for disadvantaged youth. We provide discounted board for young people who are just starting to pay for their own horse expenses and provide lessons and training for these young people

We offer lessons in English and Western riding, ground work and training, barrel racing, reining and elementary dressage.

We also have access to another instructor that specializes in Hunter/Jumpers.

Our board is lower than any you will find in the area. We feed Purina Stategy and good quality hay. The horses get hay with their daily feed and round rolls are kept fresh and clean in each of our 6 pastures, along with the planted coastal bahia grass and rye and oat grass in winter.

We have a certified journeyman farrier that comes over from Pensacola every 6 weeks for hoof care. We have massage therapy and chiro available also.

Located on the beautiful Choctawhatchee River, we have 52 acres with 20 acres of fenced pasture and a 12 stall barn. We have a 50 round pen for schooling and a full size panel arena.

Adjacent to the property. we have 300 acres available for trail riding. Our head trainer and instructor has had over 40 years of experience in the horse business and has dedicated her life to serving this establishment and furthering the careers of horse minded young people.

We only take in a few rescue horses and they all stay with us for at least a year to undergo intensive training before being presented to the public for re homing. We also have horses of our own for lease and from time to time we have horses for sale.

Mission

Our mission is to promote good sportsmanship, natural horsemanship and core values to the area's youth. We provide discounted board in the hopes that young people will be able to keep riding their horses long after their parents stop footing the horse bills.
