About

Lumberton Campus meets the unique educational and therapeutic needs of Junior and Senior High School students who have not experienced success in the more traditional classroom settings. With the goal of preparing students to enter the world of work with solid, entry-level skills, positive attitudes, a sense of responsibility and self-worth, our program features a hands-on approach to learning. Our students participate in carefully selected projects which are closely related to the instruction which takes place in the classrooms. Our alternative program features:

-Career Technical Education (CTE)

-Structured Learning Experience (SLE) while earning high school credits.

-Group and Individual Counseling

-Departmentalized and Self-Contained Classrooms

-Computer Labs and SmartBoards

-Substance Abuse Prevention Education

-Normative Culture

-Music Program

The Career Technology Program offered here at Lumberton features a strong focus on employment skills. As part of this process, teachers use skills inventory checklists, updated as students progress through their chosen courses and master skills. Upon completion, students are issued a skills transcript identifying skills learned in their chosen career paths. The goal is for all our students to be in a position to earn industry credits, equating to job opportunities at the completion of our program offerings.
