About Us

Bunn Middle School located on Highway 39 between Bunn and Louisburg in Franklin County, North Carolina, has an enrollment of 672 students in grades 6-8. Bunn Middle School opening on October 26, 1998 was an historical event in Franklin County, becoming the second "true middle school" in the county.
Under the leadership of Mr. David L. Hawks, Bunn Middle School is equipped with state of the art technology and staffed by a top quality faculty.
The purpose of Bunn Middle School is to impart knowledge. To educate and lead young people forward is our main goal. In order to learn or acquire knowledge, one must feel safe and reasonably comfortable. To this end, our goals are as follows:

To provide a warm, inviting , clean, safe, and orderly environment .

To make stake holders aware of the conduct and behavior expected of students, teachers, and administrators.

To improve communication between students and peers and/or faculty .

To improve communication among business community and home.

To establish security measures.

To utilize positive rewards.

To protect and safeguard instructional time.

To regain "school of distinction" while striving toward exemplary status as indicated by information from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
