Melvin Ratheal instructed its Mission Committee, chaired by A. J. Blevins, Jr. to investigate all possibilities of a mission location and building.

On November 14, 1956, the building committee presented plans for the new church building. Plans included the building as it now exists. The original building and the proposed new building would later be connected with an additional structure which presently houses our pastor's study, nursery, and Sunday school rooms. the church approved these plans by unanimous consent on November 25, 1956.
The construction of the new auditorium was completed and occupied for the first time during worship service Sunday morning, November 17, 1957.
