Vision Statement:

The Vision of Ben Sheppard Elementary is to prepare each student for excellence so that they may succeed in their lives academically, socially, culturally, emotionally and physically.

Mission Statement:

It is the goal of the school to improve the educational oppurtunities of our children by helping them succeed in all program, attain appropriate grade level proficiencies and improve achievement in basic, as well as higher order thinking competencies. These goals will be accomplished through the implementation of the Competency Based Curriculum and the Sunshine State Standards.

Additionally, emphasis will be placed in preparing students to develop higher level thinking skills by using CRISS strategies and other such activities. Reading and Mathematics will be infused with technology in the classroom. We will pursue increased parental and community involvement. Ben Sheppard Elementary will continue to strive for a better attendance and a safe school environment to help accomplish these goals.
