Beers Street School

610 Beers Street
732-264-1107

Our primary mission is to help each of our 280 students develop his or her special abilities and strengths, with both secondary education, future careers, a positive self-image, and good citizenship in mind.

Our curriculum is shaped by research, experience, and the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards, which define essential knowledge and skills to be acquired by all students. We are determined to help our students exceed these standards through a variety of experiences that match their abilities, interests, and varied rates of development. Instruction includes all major academic subjects as well as physical education, art, music, computers, health, studying and research skills. The Enrichment program includes writing, performing arts, creative thinking and problem solving units. Basic skills support is available to help students meet classroom goals, and resource rooms and small self-contained classes are designed for students with special needs.

The entire Beers Street staff--which includes twenty-nine teachers, custodians, nurse, executive secretary, and principal--works as a cohesive unit with members of the local community.
