BabsonARTS

Creativity and innovation have long been hallmarks of Babson College's focus on entrepreneurship and what better way to enrich the Babson experience than with an array of challenging and engaging arts events?

BabsonARTS presents performances, exhibitions, films, and conversations designed to be entertaining and to shine a spotlight on global issues, social and environmental concerns, the creative process, and the arts as a business. The generosity of Richard W. '68 and Sandra L. Sorenson makes our programming possible.

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, Babson's professional theater company in residence, is dedicated to bringing vital and contemporary productions of Shakespeare's works to the people of Boston and to exploring those works with Greater Boston's youth in innovative and creative ways. In addition to the annual free productions on Boston Common, CSC presents a series of play-reading events during the year: Theatre in the Rough; Shakespeare and Law; and Shakespeare and Leadership.

Students Participate in the Arts

Left brain, right brain, expressing your heart, feeding your soul ... the Babson experience engages and nourishes all aspects of your being. Whether purely for the joy and beauty, or to challenge you intellectually and artistically, the arts and cultural offerings at Babson add significant color and texture to campus life.

At our award-winning Carling-Sorenson Theater and the Sorenson Family Visual Arts Center, we host a variety of world-class events available to students. We also offer opportunities for students to participate in the arts through Babson College Radio (BCR), Babson Dance Ensemble (BDE), Babson Players, TEST (The Empty Space Theater), our literary magazine, and more.

You also may take advantage of arts offerings at neighboring Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering and Wellesley College, and avail yourself of the many world-class museums and performing arts offerings in nearby Boston and Cambridge.
