Auburn University Student Chapter - National Wild Turkey Federation

About Us:

AU NWTF is a non-profit organization on Auburn University Campus and is partnered with the National Wild Turkey Federation. We promote the NWTF through meetings, chapter events (ie. fund raisers and banquets), programs such as JAKES. Proceeds gained from any fund raiser we hold go to the NWTF to help them achieve our conservation goals. Conservation goals range from hands on research and re-establishment of turkey populations to land conservation efforts which are the biggest issue facing turkeys and many other species now! Land conservation efforts are not tailored only to turkeys, NWTF is #1 in conservation of upland game bird habitat! In addition to conservation efforts on land and birds, the NWTF reaches out to hunters and non-hunters to try and gain more support and encourage more people to enjoy and experience the joy and beauty of hunting, especially turkey hunting. Our mission is to preserve our hunting heritage through conservation of the wild turkey and upland game habitat!
