On November 6, 1983, the late Rev. Charlie James White, Sis. Laura White, children and seven Saints gathered under a pecan tree at the home of Deacon and Sister Lucius Lewis. They sang "Victory Shall Be Mine". Paster White spoke briefly on "Where the Word Dwells" taking scripture from Ephesians 3:17; I Corinthians 3:16:17, and St. John 15:7. This was the beginning of Agape Fellowship Church.

On Sunday, November 13, 1983, services were held at 619 South Avenue G in Freeport, Texas. Later during August 1991 the church was relocated to 1302 West Broad in Freeport, Texas where services are ongoing. Paster White was called to Glory on January 5, 1997. During this time the Agape Fellowship Church family obeyed the instructions of their founded and accepted Rev. Hannis John Prince, Jr. as Senior Pastor on January 14, 1997.
