Adin Community Bible Church
Statement of Faith
We, The Members of Adin Community Bible Church, Believe:
-That the Bible is the divine, inspired, inspirational Word of God.
-That God is one, eternally existing in three Persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
-That Jesus Christ is true God and true man; in His virgin birth, perfect humanity, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, present advocacy and His personal, imminent, bodily, visible return for His church.
-That because of Adam's sin all men are separated from God and need salvation.
-That Jesus Christ died and shed His blood as a sacrifice for the sins of all mankind.
-That salvation is a free and everlasting gift of God and not based on works and that every man must accept salvation by personal faith in Jesus Christ or be eternally lost. Titus 3:5
-That the Holy Spirit renews with divine life and personally indwells the believer upon his faith in Christ for salvation, and it is the purpose of the Holy Spirit to work in the individual believer's life in such a manner that they contribute to the building up of the Body of Christ in ministry, unity, and maturity. Acts 2:38 and Ephesians 4:11-14
-That the saved will be resurrected to unending life with our Lord Jesus Christ, and that the unsaved will be resurrected to unending punishment.
-That every believer is responsible to grow and mature in Christ , to witness for Him, to strive to glorify Him in word and deed and seek to have the fruit of the Spirit demonstrated in his life.
-That baptism by immersion is a command for this age and although important, is not a work for salvation, and that the individual believer should respond to baptism as he is lead by the Spirit to do so.
- That the Church, which includes all born again believers, is the bride of Christ and that Christ is the head of the Church.
-That it is desirable, but not absolutely necessary, for an individual believer to formally place his fellowship with a given body of believers.
