4-H Mentoring: Youth and Families with Promise

100 E. Center Street L600
801-477-0546

4-H Mentoring is an organization designed to help at-risk youth and their families. By being a mentor, you will be background checked and trained to be a mentor to a youth of your same gender between the ages of 10-14 years. To be a mentor, you must be at least 18 years old. We ask that you contact your youth once a week at a time that is most convenient for you. Letters and phone calls can count as your weekly contact, however, we encourage you to actually meet with your youth each week. We also ask our mentors to stay in the program for one year. It has been proven that youth do better when their mentor is someone who is consistent in their lives since there may be others in their lives that are not.

4-H Mentoring provides 2 activities each month for you and your mentee to attend. Recently we have been to Chef's Table, Alpine Slide, Soldier Hollow for tubing, Color Me Mine, and many other fun activities at no cost to you.

Available locations to mentor are in Lindon, Orem, Provo, and Spanish Fork.
