From: Youth Black History Fest

A hands-on experience and celebration of the heritage behind some of the most influential Black cultural art forms.

This free program is geared for youth ages 5-17 and during the day participants will rotate through a variety of different art stations at several walkable locations at Fort Monroe.  Experiences include:

- African Drumming with Kam Kelly and the DAY Program
- Modern Dance with Leah Glenn Dance Theatre
- Mixed Media Artist–Steve Prince
- Mental Health and Yoga
- Digital Scavenger Hunt
- And more!

Again, this FREE event is open to the public from 10 am – 3 pm and each station will last approximately 45 minutes.  Participate in as many locations as you like.  A food truck will also be available on site and Firehouse Coffee 1881 and Deadrise are open for lunch.  Space is limited so sign up early to reserve a space for your young artist!  Click here to register.
