Superman Storytime

Kidspace will be having a special storytime to celebrate Superman Day! Join us for an “everything” Superman (and Supergirl) fun storytime for ages 2-5 years old along with their caregiver. Stories, jokes, poems, songs and crafts are all part of this program.

Paint Outside the Lines

We’ll set up our art studio outdoors at the Wilson Branch to take in some fresh air while we create our masterpieces.

When we’re done, we’ll enjoy a story and snack. Drop in.

Art of the Book

Boring books be banished! Calligrapher Debby Reelitz will take us on a journey exploring creative art books and we will be making two book structures of our own. Let’s break the rules about what books should look like and be! Sponsored by Windsor Library Association.

Mad Science

Let’s get whacky with Mad Science in Kidspace. We’ll be doing fun and kid friendly science experiments. Ages 6 to 12.

Lego Creations

Wednesday, June 14,

Eager engineers ages 7 and up are invited to design and build their own LEGO Creations at the Wilson Branch Library.

On the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month this summer, we’ll set out a new design challenge to complete. Drop in.

Family Game Night

Back by popular demand, Kidspace is having a “Family Game Night”! We have some great games that we will provide. Bring your whole family to enjoy this fun evening. All ages welcome.

Art Afternoon

4:00pm - 5:00pm

Monthly Art Afternoon welcomes school age children 6-11 years old to Kidspace. At each session we will be learning about a different artist or art style and then create our own masterpieces.

African Harp Concert with Sean Gaskell

Thursday, June 15,

7:00pm - 8:30pm

Musician Sean Gaskell will give a performance and demonstration on the kora. An ancient 21-stringed harp from West Africa. He will feature traditional songs that are the heart and soul of the kora’s musical repertoire.

The kora is traditionally played by oral historians known as Griots, often called Jalis or Jelis. Many of the songs tell stories of war, hardship, love and loss. All while presenting the history and fabric of Mande society.

Come to the Main Library to enjoy this unique performance.

Dancin’ with Hula Hoops

Wilson Branch Lawn

Join Judi Jones aka “Energizer” for a musical and interactive Hoop Dancing party. Dancin’ with Hoops blends creative movement, dance, exercise and play.

Judi will entertain us with a high energy hula hoop performance.

Custom Hula Hoops will be provided for use and one lucky winner will take home a custom hula hoop after the event!
