Gardens in the Hudson Valley

The Hudson River Valley is rich with historic mansions, presidents’ summer retreats and stunning botanical gardens. Visit Kykuit, Boscobel, Clermont, Stonecrop, Vanderbilt Estate, the New York Botanical Garden and more in this virtual tour with Jana Milbocker of Enchanted Gardens. The Garden Tourist’s Hudson River Valley will be a hybrid program, our speaker will be on Zoom but patrons can either join us in person at the library or login from home using Zoom.

Paws Up for Pride!

Come make rainbow teddy bears to celebrate Pride! We’ll be hand stuffing our own rainbow bears, learning about the meaning and history of Pride, reading some LGBTQ+ books, and doing other rainbow crafts! Seats are limited so please register! Ages 4 – 12.

Foraging Wild Plants & Mushrooms (Wilson Virtual)

The summer months are a bounty of ripe berries, nectar-laden edible flowers, amazing edible plants along the seashore, and edible mushrooms that can carpet the forest floor after warm, rainy days. Join The 3 Foragers as they teach the edible plants and fungi of summer with their original photos and recipe ideas featured in an educational slideshow. Learn how to identify, sustainably harvest, and prepare the wild foods of summer, from beach plums to invasive wine berries, including some of the choice summer fungi like chanterelles and the myriad of pored Boletes.

Introduction to Bees & Beekeeping (Wilson)
