Book of the Greats

Round out the last day of Black History Month by stopping by our Makerspace to create a scrapbook of African American legends throughout history! The contributions made to movie, music, world politics, science, and more by these icons should be commemorated. Materials for the scrapbook and some pictures will be available, but feel free to bring in your own pictures, and make your scrapbook your own.

Tween Tuesday

Come hang out with us for snacks, video games, crafts, movies, and more at our new Tween Tuesdays. Ages 9 to 15 are welcome to drop in, no registration needed!

Scam Me Not: Avoiding Health Care Scams

Chances are good that someone you know has been scammed. They may not talk about it, but the statistics do. Join us at the Wilson Branch Library to learn how to protect yourself and loved ones from a scam. We'll discuss the strategies that scammers are using to conduct health care scams and you'll walk away with resources to "Pass It On." Information provided by the Federal Trade Commission Consumer Advice Pass It On initiative. This is part three of a four-part series. Attend one or attend all.

The Windsor Public Library is seeking teens who want to improve the library, the community, and the planet! Is that you?! Gain real world experience and volunteer hours! Open to teens ages 12-18. We’ll meet on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of every month, beginning March 1 in Teen Space on the lower level.

Teens ages 13 and older are invited to join us at the Wilson Branch for Video Game & Anime Club. Enjoy snacks, watch anime, read manga, play video games, learn to draw kawaii or just hang out! Drop in.

STEM Club

It’s time again for our monthly STEM Club for school age children 6-11 years old. Our Club will include more “Team Challenges." We continue calling all school scientists, engineers, mathematicians and inventors to this fun hands on program.

Book Brunch
Saturday, March 4,

“Book Brunch” meets at the Wilson Branch Library on the first Saturday of each month. This month's book: The Stardust Thief by Chelsea Abdullah. Centering books written by BIPOC authors with an emphasis on affirming stories, you won’t find trauma, pain, poverty, or stereotypes in the books we lift up and discuss. Facilitated by Alexis – Proud Nerd, History Buff, Windsor Native, lover of adventure and all things tasty. Coffee, tea, and light refreshments provided. Books for each month will be available for checkout at the Wilson Branch Library.
