Friends of the Library Membership Drive

The 2023 membership drive runs for the month of November. This is for new and current members. We need everyone's support to reach our goal of 400 members for 2023. As a Friend, your membership helps contribute to all of the library programs the Friends organization supports. Click here to see the list on our website.

Blood Pressure Clinic

Get your blood pressure under control with our friends at the Weymouth Health Department! They'll be here on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month to check your blood pressure for free!

Weymouth Art Demonstration

Art Demonstration by Tony Andrade will demonstrate a painting medium of organic cold wax and oil paints. Public welcome.

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Weymouth Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council a state agency.

Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program
The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) helps keep families safe and healthy through initiatives that assist families with energy costs. LIHEAP provides federally funded assistance to reduce the costs associated with home energy bills, energy crises, weatherization, and minor energy-related home repairs. Click here for more information.

LIHEAP can help you stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer through programs that reduce the risk of health and safety problems that arise from unsafe heating and cooling situations and practices.

Massachusetts Good Neighbor Energy Fund
Now in its 38th year, the Massachusetts Good Neighbor Energy Fund has provided energy assistance to hundreds-of-thousands of residents in temporary crisis who are struggling to pay their energy bills and do not qualify for federal or state energy funds.

Friends Poinsettia Sale

Through November 26th, the Friends of Weymouth Libraries will start accepting pre-orders for red poinsettias. Plants will be $15. They are in 6.5 inch pots, and will be adorned with a bow. Get in the spirit of the holidays while supporting the Friends. Pickup will take place at Tufts Library in Room 133 on Friday December 2nd from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM and Saturday December 3rd from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Orders can be placed online by clicking here or in person at the Friends' Bookstore which is open Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 12:00 - 4:00 PM.

Friends Black Friday Sale Days
The bookstore is holding a big sale on Friday November 25th and Saturday November 26th.  Everything in the store will be half price. You will be supporting the Friends organization, come on in and do some early holiday shopping. The store will be open longer hours for the sale.  Check on Instagram or Facebook for specifics.
