Holiday Hours
Municipal buildings will be closed for the holiday on Friday, December 23rd and Monday, December 26th.  Municipal buildings will also be closed on Monday, January 3rd.

The Transfer Station will be closed Saturday, December 24th through Tuesday, December 27th, and will re-open on Wednesday, December 28th.  The Transfer Station will also be closed on Saturday, December 31st through Tuesday, January 3rd, and will re-open on Wednesday, January 4th.

Storm Watch!
The Weston Emergency Operation team is closely monitoring the current weather forecast and storm threatening our region. We are fully prepared to respond to any damage related to the storm.  Please take the time to prepare yourselves for the potential to be without power and the extremely cold weather over the course of the holiday weekend.  Click here for important storm preparation information from Eversource.

YES, WE CAN (AND BOTTLE)
Weston’s 5¢-redeemable program hits major milestone

Since the program began at the Transfer Station in March 2020, it has sorted and redeemed half a million cans, glass bottles, and plastics. That means $25,000 has been raised and all profits donated back to the Weston’s Booster Club and the High School’s Green Team. 500,000 items have been kept out of a landfill, and recycled, and repurposed. And we have saved Weston waste-haulage fees on a mountain of waste.

A very big thank you to everyone who has made, and continues to make, this all-volunteer program such a success. Particularly those sports teams and Green Team members that “sort” the redeemable cans, bottles, and glass every Saturday morning. And all those Weston residents that bring their redeemables to the blue, red, and green recycling stations on the top level of the Transfer Station.

Please continue your support and spread the word. There are separate containers for redeemable plastics, cans, and glass (please ensure there is a “CT” on the label). Non- redeemable glass should be placed in the large green dumpster with the portholes. Drop off is free (no stickers required). The Weston Transfer Station is at 237 Godfrey Road East, just 6 minutes from the town center.
