A Ghost Hunter’s Favorite Cases.
Friday, October 6th, 5:30 PM. Teens + Adults. Community Room.

Paranormal investigator Barry Pirro has investigated hundreds of haunted houses, businesses, and historic sites. He has also been a consultant for paranormal TV shows Ghost Adventures, Ghost Nation, Kindred Spirits, and Paranormal Survivor. Join Barry as he discusses some of his most chilling cases of ghosts, demons, and haunted objects. In addition, hear real ghost voices recorded during ghost investigations, and watch an amazing video of a ghost captured on film. Participants will also have a chance to ask questions about ghost hunting, and to share their own true ghost stories. Drop in and bring your friends!

October is right around the corner, and coming with that... Friday the 13th! Children in grades 3-6 are invited to write their scariest scariest story to turn in to the Children's Librarian, Kara. Then on Friday the 13th, we'll gather together at 3:30 in the library for a spooky storytelling session! The winner will be contacted afterward to come pick up their prize.

Team S.T.E.A.M.
Tuesday, October 10th, 4:00 - 4:45 PM. 1st - 4th grade.

Join us for our second session with special guests from Team S.T.E.A.M.! This program gives young children the opportunity to explore and build interest in STEM (Science, technology, engineering and math) and ARTS. We will use engineering kits to introduce students to various engineering, problem-solving, and team-building skills. A third session will be hosted next Wednesday. You don't need to attend previous sessions to join in on the fun. However, you must register separately for the sessions you plan to attend to ensure materials are set aside for you.

Lapsit Storytime

The 4 Step Method to Getting into Your First Choice College.
Wednesday, October 11th, 6:30 PM. Community Room.

Dr. Donna Risolo of College Prep Tutors will present on “The 4-Step Method to Getting into Your First Choice College.”  Learn strategies that Dr. Donna has used with 100s of students to help them get into their first choice college, and many offered substantial scholarship awards regardless of parent income. You will leave this presentation with concrete action steps that you can immediately apply to your college admissions process.  Dr. Donna will also be available for Q&A after the presentation. Scary Story Writing Contest.
Friday, October 13th, 3:30PM. Grades 3-6.

Write your scariest story to be handed into the library by Friday, October 13th. We'll meet up that afternoon for campfire-style scary story readings and spooky treats with the librarian. The scariest story writer will be contacted afterward to win a spooky prize!

You don't have to write to participate in the spooky reading. We hope to see you there!
