Early start to STEM education: Importance, advantages and future implications.
Virtual Presentation. Monday, October 16th, 4:00 - 5:00 PM. Late Elementary / early Middle school students (Grades 4-8).

The current world is driven by innovation, cutting-edge technology like Artificial Intelligence, and a lot more. Therefore, nurturing young minds with STEM education has become more crucial than ever before. By introducing STEM from a young age, when their brains are actively growing, children learn to speak the language of the future.

Dr. Nivedita Lahiri, CEO of Counsel Academy, will be speaking to students about how a strong STEM foundation increases their opportunities for multiple career options later in life.

Tuesday, October 17th, 4:00 - 4:45 PM. 1st - 4th grade.

Join us for another exciting afternoon with special guests from Team S.T.E.A.M.! This program gives young children the opportunity to explore and build interest in STEM (Science, technology, engineering and math) and ARTS. We will use engineering kits to introduce students to various engineering, problem-solving, and team-building skills.

Everything You Need to Know About the New Digital SAT.
Wednesday, October 18th, 6:30 PM. Community Room.

Dr. Donna Risolo of College Prep Tutors will present on “Everything You Need to Know About the New Digital SAT.”  In this presentation, you will learn about the distinct changes that are coming to the SAT and how to prepare yourself to do well. Dr. Donna will also review her six universal strategies for test taking that can be applied to any “paper” multiple choice test: ACT, LSAT, GMAT, ISSE etc. This presentation is open to parents and students of all grade levels. There will be a Q&A after the presentation.

Teen D.I.Y: Spooky Print Making.
Teens. Community Room. Thursday, October 19th, 3:30 PM.

Stop by the community room to learn how to make your own Halloween or fall-themed print from scratch. Learn to carve a linoleum block which can then be used to stamp clothing, paper, and other materials. This D.I.Y. is beginner-friendly and will send you home with some awesome stuff to keep.
