Calling for a Blanket Dance byOscar Hokeah.  A dazzling epic of betrayal, love, and fate that spans five generations of an Indigenous Chicano family in the American West. In 1930s Denver, Luz "Little Light" Lopez begins having visions that transport her to her Indigenous homeland where she must save her family stories from disappearing into oblivion.

Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin.  In this exhilarating novel by the best-selling author of The Storied Life of A. J. Fikry, two friends—often in love, but never lovers—come together as creative partners in the world of video game design, where success brings them fame, joy, tragedy, duplicity, and, ultimately, a kind of immortality.

Sister Mother Warrior by Vanessa Riley.  When a war breaks out on Saint Domingue, two extraordinary women--the first Empress of Haiti and a West African-born warrior--finally meet and play pivotal roles in the revolution that will eventually lead to full independence for Haiti and its people.

The It Girl by Ruth Ware.  After John Neville, the man convicted of killing her best friend April 10 years earlier, dies in prison, expectant mother Hannah Jones, after new evidence surfaces proving his innocence, reconnects with old friends to solve the mystery of April's death and realizes they all have something to hide--including a murder.

Why Didn’t You Tell Me: A Memoir by Carmen Rita Wong.  An immigrant mother’s long-held secrets upend her daughter’s understanding of her family, her identity, and her place in the world in this powerful and dramatic memoir.
