Let's be email scam and spam savvy

It seems like every day something new and shady shows up in your email inbox. So before we send out a FUN newsletter at the end of the week, we just wanted to drop a little note to remind you that the Weston Public Library will never email you asking for financial information or asking you to donate to a political cause. We also won't ask for sensitive personal information. So what kinds of emails can you expect from the library?

Correspondence with staff if you've asked a reference question or contacted us by email or a contact form on our website. Those responses will come from "minlib" email addresses.

If you believe you have received a spam or scam email from an organization or person representing themselves as if they are affiliated with the library and it just seems sketchy, it is better to err on the side of caution.
