Need a little time to unwind and craft with friends and neighbors? Join us for Sip and Stitch. We'll provide some drinks and snacks,  and you can bring your current project. Crocheters, knitters, needlepointers, and all crafters of all skill levels are welcome to join!

Classics Discussion Group: The Innocents Abroad by Twain

Sharon Sobel returns in June to lead a discussion on Mark Twain's The Innocents Abroad

The discussion will be led by Norwalk Community College and UConn Stamford Professor, Sharon Sobel. A writer for most of her life, Sharon  is the author of several novels, short stories, and works of fiction. She earned her PhD in English Language and Literature from Brandeis University.

Rhonda Denet and the Silver Fox Trio: From Jazz to Soul
Saturday, June 25; 5:30 for drinks, 6PM for music; Hybrid Event

June is African-American Music Appreciation Month. Join the Friends of the Library as they host the extraordinary vocal talents of Rhonda Denet who, accompanied by the Silver Fox Trio, will perform a collection of soul and jazz classics that spans 5 decades. This is a musical journey from the era when the “First Lady Of Song,” Ella Fitzgerald graced the stage to when the “Queen of Soul,” Aretha Franklin ruled the airways. In addition to Ella and Aretha, this showcase pays tribute to Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Nancy Wilson, Etta James, Martha & The Vandellas, Mary Wells, and Gladys Knight.

Please register. This event will be hybrid. Guests are welcome in the Community Room or can join via Zoom. A Zoom link will be sent to all registrants in advance of the program.

Did you know the Aspetuck Land Trust maintains 40 trailed preserves for you to explore and enjoy year-round in Easton, Fairfield, Weston & Westport? Learn about the unique features of some of these spots from Van Dusenbury, Trail Steward Director for the Aspetuck Land Trust.

The Library will close Sundays for the summer starting June 19th. 
The Library will be closed on Monday, June 20th in observance of Juneteenth.
