Weir Farm Community Volunteer Ambassador internship now open for applications!

As a Community Volunteer Ambassador Intern (CVA) you will engage diverse groups in volunteerism, service-learning, and community activities at Weir Farm National Historical Park. Weir Farm seeks a positive, outgoing, organized, and self-motivated individual to join our team and help grow volunteer programs, build new community partnerships, and promote the NPS through outreach and media. This internship is offered in partnership with Conservation Legacy; Environmental Stewards.

Engage Youth, Volunteers, Visitors, and Communities while gaining valuable experience with the National Park Service.
Youth 30 years and under, and Veterans 35 and under are eligible to apply for this paid internship! The CVA internship is 50 weeks in length, full time and interns will receive a $500 per week living allowance and an AmeriCorps Education Award if eligible upon completion of the internship. This internship is a great resume builder with lots of opportunities for professional development and will provide a variety of experiences in visitor services, interpretation, education, community engagement, and natural and cultural resource management.

Applicants must demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, computer, research, writing, and organizational skills. Ideal candidates will be ages 21 - 30 with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, have some leadership experience in a job or extracurricular activity. Applicants should be comfortable leading groups outside, enjoy working with diverse groups of people, be self-motivated, have experience with design and social or web-based media, and have the ability to secure housing and commit to full 50-week internship scheduled to start on February 6, 2023. Please note: Housing is not available at Weir Farm National Historical Park. The intern is responsible for housing and transportation. A background check is required for all internship positions.
